Kikomun Creek Provincial Park
BC Parks
BC Parks at Kikomun Creek Provincial Park wanted to bring visual consistency and vibrancy to their interpretive programme to educate the public about completed and ongoing restoration work. Ion developed an interpretive system and storylines that are accessible, engaging, highly visible, yet sensitive to the environment with a small footprint.

Visual elements range from iconography, specimen line art to colour imagery, with each enhancing the content in different ways. A colourful accent palette is used to highlight threats and endangered and species of special concern.

With the Park looking to set up their own geocache, they needed a way to harness this acitivity to engage with visitors and teach them about ecosystem restoration. Inspired by 1990's Pogs, each geocaching location includes a collectable take away that correlates to a theme of threats, grasslands charactertistics and flora and fauna. On the backside of each Pog is a QR supporting expanded written content about each topic.
